Nautical Printmaking #2

On the second day of printmaking, I experimented with combining the two techniques: intaglio and relief, together. The product was a more interesting print that incorporated a wider range of colour and texture which I think was quite successful.

I used the same techniques as the first day, but played around with the composition of the plate pieces in order to create a different shaped print using the same geometric shapes. I cut out the textured plate to match the nautical flag and mixed the pieces together creating a contrast of texture and non textured, coloured and black ink.
